Create an Office to Counter Racism

Created by K.B. on June 20, 2015

After the September 11, 2001 terrorist acts, the Office of Homeland Security was created to develop a national strategy to safeguard the country against terrorism and respond to future acts.

In response to the racially motivated murders of 9 people at the Emanual AME Church in Charleston, SC, — which is only the most recent of numerous racially-motivated terrorist acts —this petition proposes that the president create an Office to Counter Racism, which would establish a strategy and agenda to address and combat racism on a national level.
