create an office within the Department of Justice to re-investigate ALL USERRA complaints filed since 9/11/2001

Created by R.K. on November 18, 2012

The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) was intended to protect service-members from losing their jobs or seniority in their jobs while deployed in the service of their country. The Department of Justice needs to investigate these complaints because the Department of Labor has no legal standing to file lawsuits or criminal charges, and has limited experience in investigating and enforcing laws.
It is critical that employers who refuse to abide by this law and present false or misleading evidence to federal investigators be criminally charged and that veterans be entitled to an award for punitive damages in addition to the actual damages suffered when employers willfully "aid and abet enemies of the United States" by discriminating against returning veterans.
