Create a "One event, One Check" background check requirement for gun shows to equitably end the "gun show loophole"

Created by M.B. on July 27, 2012

To end the "Gun Show Loophole", rather than restrict private owners from selling their property at such events, we the undersigned request that an amendment to the background check process be made:

1) The host of the event be allowed to run a background check for any attendee, rather than the individual sellers, which is good for any purchase made at that event on that day.
2) Any purchase at the event, be it from a dealer or private seller, may only be made if the buyer presents documentation that they have completed an above background check.

The result is that it will close the "gun show loophole" while actually making it easier and more convenient for legitimate buyers to purchase firearms.
