This market will be separate from normal Checking and Savings accounts.
Consumers can direct their money where they'd like it to go and get a high rate of return with no FDIC guarantee. Consumers will have same leverage as banks do.
Expand the Federal Reverse's power to set interest rates and give it the ability to set leverage rates locally. Meaning, different counties can have different leverages and interest rates.
The structure of banks can remain the same, except depositors will have the option to place their funds on the open marketplace. Banks would then compete for funding from depositor funds.
The goal is to give citizens the power to have a sound and long term investment, and the ability to positively impact their local economy.
