I would like to see policies granting the ability to Opt-Out of the current Social Security system to those born after 1/1/1983, until it can be overhauled to self sustainability.
Understanding that there is a rising population of retirees, the opt-out system would NOT grant repayment of contributions, instead the Opt-Out gesture could be considered a monetary gift to the American people. I have already lost my contributions to the system, and there can be no way of knowing what the government of the future can do to guarantee me benefits through the year 2085.
Policies would have to be characterized to ensure those who have paid and will continue to pay in receive their payments as such.
