We shall create a new national holiday modeled on Massachusetts' state holiday "Patriot's Day". This day shall honor first responders of all stripes - those who have responded courageously to any and all of America's domestic tragedies. It is inspired by the many selfless individuals that served and saved fellow Americans in the Boston tragedy, but Patriot's Day would ultimately honor all domestic heroes who have put others' lives ahead of their own in times of national tragedy. Let us declare the third Monday in April to be Patriot's Day, our new National Holiday.
