In comparison to other nations, this wage is not exceptional. As of 2010, Canada's members of parliament make $152,328, and lawmakers from the U.K. and E.U. earn more than $100,000 (in U.S. dollars) per year.
Pay scale should increase with years of service and not when there is a vote.
Every 4 years the American people should have at least 1/3rd of the vote during the presidential election vote, after all it is our money.
