We are looking for the government to create a Police Monitoring Agency that will investigate police complaints to remove bias and create transparency concerning investigations of police personnel. As we know from news reports it is more often the case that internal police investigations are biased and usually exonerate the police officer involved in a complaint. Cases often are dropped unless the victim pursues the complaint and video or audio evidence is produced to the contrary. Having an agency that monitors the police will also combat illegal arrests or wrongful convictions by letting policing agencies know that their actions are being monitored and any crimes that are committed will be prosecuted.
