Upon reviewing the past few decades of America's use of military force around the world, I have come to believe that there exists within the political-military decision making body of the U.S. Government, a lack of insight concerning the proper use and limits of our armed forces in pursuit of our national security objectives, Especially embarassing in light of the wealth of costly lessons learned by nations past provided to us by history.
I find it hard to believe that the military professionals at the Pentagon could have planned such a costly and militarily unwise operation as "Operation Enduring Freedom".The very idea of maintaining a force 150,000 strong, in an Asian country, land locked, undeveloped, with a history of successful guerrilla warfare leaves me speechless.Incompetence!
