On behalf of women and families, I am introducing this petition.As a US citizen and mother, I feel it is time that we see breastfeeding represented on a US postage stamp.We can do this by producing a postage stamp that includes an image of a mother breastfeeding her baby.
Seeing an image of breastfeeding depicted on a stamp that is affixed to mail in the US, helps to send the message that breastfeeding is normal.
I've seen many issues that needed support, addressed via a US stamp.Breastfeeding should be included as one of those topics.Supporting breastfeeding has many positive outcomes.This is just one way the US can help do this.
Afghanistan,Uganda and Algeria are a few countries that have already done this.The US is ready to show it's support to normalize breastfeeding.
