The youth of the United States want to be involved in our government and the decision making process, but we are not being heard by our elected officials. Young Americans are frustrated with this, because we want to help find and create meaningful solutions for some of the biggest challenges our country faces!
The youth of our nation have shown we are capable of doing this, and there are many passionate, bright young leaders who want to help but aren't able to. There are many successful local and state level youth councils that have had a profound impact, and we need to replicate that at the federal level so young Americans are heard by ALL elected officials.
I urge President Obama to form a Presidential Youth Council so the youth of America have an equal say in decisions that impact us!
