College graduates are the future of this country. Many are struggling while working in their profession because they are deep in financial aid debt at graduation. Students in all the majors including the humanities, sciences and graduate programs can never see a time when they will not be paying back their loans. This alone will affect how they live out their lives and whether they can feel free to create the kind of intellectual property that not only made this country great, but is our only hope for the future. A program where work can be exchanged for actual dollar credits toward paying back enormous loans would not only provide ways to shorten payback time, but would also give communities a way to get projects done with smaller budgets. It would create jobs and give hope.
