Please work with the states to encourage them to do this or do this nationally.
There are hundreds of thousands of people who have been convicted of non-violent felonies (many marijuana related due to the failed "war on drugs" of the '80s and '90s) who have completed their sentence and gone many years without legal incident. These people can't obtain rental housing, jobs, or government assistance. They are not allowed to be reformed and there is no program in place for them to participate in to show that they are reformed. They wish to be normal functioning, working members of society but poor state regulations don't work and don't allow for it.
Please help to structure a program for them to complete so that they may show potential employers, landlords, etc that they are truly reformed.
