We the People ask Our President to Create a Nation-wide program, including institutes of Higher Learning and government agencies - working together to develop and implement the use of all means of alternative energy and energy production. This program would be similar in scope and magnitude to Kennedy's 1961 Moon Shot Program.
The Program would be especially intent on ending all use and reliance upon fossil fuels.
It would provide impetus toward this nation ending the need to go to war to protect lands rich in oil, and would end the use of cancer causing and global warming causing fossil fuels.
It would also provide millions of jobs as the nation retools the entire infrastructure of the auto industry, the oil industry, and all related industries.
