Gun owners are passionate about patriotism and the 2nd. amendment. But I also believe that reducing the deficit and government spending are equally important to this group. As it is to all Americans.
I suggest a federal surcharge of $10 per bullet be assigned to the sale of all ammunition. $7 of the surcharge should immediately be applied to paying down the Federal Debt and the remaining $3 should go to police and hospitals to help defray the additional costs they absorb due to gun violence.
