We, the people, petition the American government to establish a public holiday honoring the field of science and those who dedicate their lives to bettering the universe as a whole. We hope that scientists can get the recognition they deserve, and to create awareness of the importance of science.
Science, and its findings, are the very forces that keep the human race progressing. From discovering more about our own bodies, and what makes the universe tick, the advancements of science improve our lives and better the human race.
In America, we have various holidays to commemorate significant people and events, which citizens are encouraged to participate in. However, we lack any official recognition of one of the greatest and most important things to EVER EXIST, the field of science.
