President Obama,
During the long and difficult battle for health care reform in 2009, many provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act had to be cut from the final version of the bill that you signed into law. One provision that the public supported by a wide margin was the public option. As you know, health insurance companies continue to see record profits year after year. The public option was a key way to hold these companies accountable and control the rising costs of health insurance for Americans.
It's not too late to pass a public option. Ask Congress to give the American people another choice in how they pay for their health care needs.
