It is time to let the Medical Marijuana Community do what the top 1% refuse to do: pay their fair share, create jobs and restart this economy.
1) U.S. medical marijuana sales are a $1.7B market in 2011
2) The U.S. medical marijuana community employs 100,000+ nationwide.
3) Annually, the U.S. spends:
a.$1B dollars incarcerating its citizens for cannabis offenses.
b.$23.4B (2011 est.) on the war on drugs.
“Putting Pot to Work” will:
1) Generate hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes.
2) Reduce marijuana incarceration and enforcement costs by tens of billions of dollars annually.
3) Drastically reduce Cartel violence and revenue.
4) Generate and protect potentially millions of jobs for Americans nationwide.
5) Allow Americans the freedom to choose the safest, most effective medicine.
