Real gun control without pushing to black market:
1.Classroom based firearm safety and gun law education course required to purchase a firearm
2.Mandatory background check for all firearm purchases
3.Mandatory 14 day wait for all handguns and assault style weapons, 7 day for hunting style rifles
4.You may not own a firearm if ever diagnosed with a mental illness (terms subject to physician recommendations)
5.Mark and label every manufactured gun security safe with an ID number, this number along with proof of purchase is required to purchase any gun. Guns are required to be stored within the safe (possible exception for small sidearm home defense). Should a gun not be secure and used to commit a crime, the gun owner will be subject to the charges regardless of involvment.
