Healthcare charges for services and supplies needs to be capped and regulated. If a hospital can offer a "no insurance" discount of up to 50% or more, then they should be just fine giving a similar discount to insurance companies so that more people can actually pay for insurance and still be able to maintain a household. Drug companies should be similarly capped. The development costs should be figured, not estimated by importance, and spread across the product dispersal. Redirect funding (Medicare/Medicaid & welfare), charitable, and non profit resources into a government provided public healthcare. Everyone covered and cared for eliminates non payment and indigent care costs. Money, not debt, will circulate and stimulate and will give surplus funds once plan is fully implemented.
