Prohibition does not work, and history proves this in regards to alcohol. Our country needs a new policy regarding cannabis, an herb grown for thousands of years. Alcohol and tobacco have no medicinal value, yet they are perfectly legal. 400,000 Americans die each year from smoking cigarettes, so obviously our health is not the concern.
This is the United States and the majority of people speak English, yet when referring to cannabis (English) it is often called marijuana (Spanish). Why? It is Modern day racism. Most of us thought that by electing an African American President, racism would be history. Everyday thousands of Americans with no prior criminal history are locked in our jails for simply possession.
It is time to put the real drug dealers out of business!! DEMAND ACTION!
