In 2010, 5,986 reports have been filed for police misconduct. Most incidents for police misconduct do not get reported for fear of harassment. In 2013-14 this number is rapidly increasing. Because of recent events many people feel that the police are intimidating and become fearful in their presence. If you look at the Kelly Thomas incident and many others you will see these brutal crimes, this crime was on video, but most aren't. All police officers, while on duty should have video and audio recording devices on their person and active at all times. Not only would this give police officers a tool for first person observations, which would help in a trial or general record keeping, but it would also help prevent future misconduct.
