We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Create a required class in federal schools (in intermediate or junior highs) based on amendments.

Created by M.B. on September 26, 2016

We the people would like our rights as ensured by the constitution and other such documents to be understood. These documents are simply not understood by many (if not most) leading to people wanting laws that obstruct freedom of speech and other American rights. I would ask that we create a class within government schools that is required like math and English. This class would focus on the origin, meaning, and importance of federal laws and the systems taken to create them.

I would argue that this could be an important and beneficial class in the long term. This would be because of an educated generation that can make proper voting decisions and respect the rights of others guaranteed by the law. This class should also include state laws that pertain to the students' resident state.
