CHANGES THAT WE NEED TO MAKE:
30 days from date of claim to receive benefits, because you need that money to survive,no authority to go or reverse your Dr. statement, no authority to stop payments with-out notification to the claimant, not to be able to make changes to your policy, not to be able to offer a settlement because the insurance co. wants to save money, no authority to force the claimant to apply for SS disability so the co. can save money, no authority to deduct any amount receive by you from SS disability, the disability benefits specialist must have some medical background.
Please you must investigate the way insurance company handles disability claims- UNUM is the worst.
I'm still waiting for Unum, since last year, to give me answer in refence of my claim.
