This petition is intended to encourage the current administration, to establish a protective facility which victims of coercive groups, such as cults and street gangs, can go to escape that environment and reintegrate themselves into society.
The most common reason that people get stuck in coercive groups such as street gangs and cults is because they tend to consume your entire life. All of your connections are, in one way or another, related to the group. Since your entire world is usurped and your decision making process is hindered it can seem impossible to leave.
I would like to create a home for people in such situations so that they can feel safe to leave, and receive help in establishing a new life outside of the coercive group.
