There are many LGBTQ students who go through the school system never learning how to have safe sex. Not only does it leave them confused and more unsure of themselves and therefore even more scared, but it leads to a larger number of people having unprotected sex which only spreads the risk of HIV/AIDS and other STDs. I'm not suggesting teaching "this is every detail of how to have gay sex" but instead just how to have safe sex and acknowledgement of the fact that gays exist.
