Based on the most recent FBI report, an absolutely astonishing 496 murders occurred with hammers and clubs in 2011. These weapons of war have been used by many tyrants throughout the years, including (but not limited to) Attila the Hun, Vlad the Impaler, Stalin and Hitler.
These weapons of war can be purchased by anyone at their corner store and brought into our schools without question, where their deadly nature could be unleashed without warning.
I urge you to immediately pass legislation to make the ownership and transfer of all forms of hammers a Federal Felony.
