We ask that you create the Sam Dubose Law, which would require all state, county and local patrol officers to wear body cameras. Much like the "Michael Brown Law" that was petitioned before, this petition is being brought forth due to an officer involved shooting. Sam Dubose was shot and killed by an officer. This officer was later indicted for Mr. Dubose's death. This indictment would not have been possible without the footage from the officers body camera. We the people entrust our lives in the hands of these officers. That kind of power must come with accountability. It is our belief that accountability can be obtained with the Sam Dubose Law. We ask that you consider this petition and thank you for your time.
