The United States of America is a nation that was created by and for the People. Currently, our government is overburdened by lobbyists, special interest groups of all stripes, and bogged down by partisan career politicians who are more concerned with keeping their status and position than doing what is in the best interests of their constituents.
Given the above, this petition requests that the Obama administration (or any subsequent administration) give the power back to us, the People, by creating a secure, partitioned internet based mechanism for national discourse and voting so that we may transition into a direct democracy free of the burdens placed on us by a bloated, ineffective congress and government.
