There is a growing problem with the average person taking their pets into food establishments in our country. The laws in place prohibit anyone from asking a person with an animal about their disabilities which protects their rights. Unfortunately people without disabilities are abusing the laws that protect disabled people’s rights.
I believe that people who need true service animals in order to enjoy everyday life should be able to go where they need to go without scrutiny of others. A way to achieve this is to issue a registration card for the service animal much like a driver’s license; it should have a picture of the animal and who it is registered to and can be produced when entering a food facility. Food facilities who do not obey the laws should be fined for every incident.
