This petition is for a sign to be placed in the National Park area of San Francisco known as the Presidio that acknowledges it as the future home of Starfleet Academy.
The American Television series known as Star Trek has had an incredible impact on the NASA Space Program, the sciences, and research and development into technologies in this country. Star Trek has influenced everything from popular culture, touch screens, tablet devices, and matters of equality and the human spirit.
By placing a sign acknowledging the Presidio as the future home of Starfleet Academy, we acknowledge the importance of science and exploration in this country, as well as the importance of NASA, human enlightenment, and cooperation between a unified humanity.
