This is my proposal for a smarter gun, or, "New Tech Gun."
1. All legally purchased guns have to be "locked" to the owners finger prints. Meaning, the weapon could ONLY be fired by the owner. This would prevent gun violence from people who steal guns from friends/family members.
2. All guns have a "black box" built within, that keeps track of each time the gun has been fired, along with a time stamp. This would help crime investigations, if an owner of a smart gun was to commit a crime.
3. All guns have a "Friendly Fire" recognition chip. This would work by having a chip stitched into uniforms/vests of Military and Law Enforcement. Meaning, when ever a "New Tech Gun" was aimed at someone wearing this, the gun would not fire. This would help prevent Friendly Fire/Law Enf. casualties.
