Create a smarter voting system.

Due to the fact that people now adays are simply voting along party lines without taking the time to learn about candidates, I propose two initiatives to create smarter voting. First, a literacy test should be taken to vote. Everyone in America has access to some sort of education, and if they are not willing to make themselves an intelligent member of society, they should not be allowed to vote. The second initiative is to have voters take a short test before entering the polls. This test will have simple questions about what each candidate supports. This test will assure people understand what they are voting for instead of just voting along party lines.
