Create some mechanism to control the rising price of drugs. There is widespread drug price gouging going on in the US.

Created by R.K. on September 20, 2015

Drug prices in the US have been skyrocketing over the past few years. The excuse of R&D costs and that drug price only constitutes 10% of healthcare system, and thus should not matter, are frivolous attempts to disguise the true reason behind price increase - greed. All segments of healthcare arena - insurers, providers, patients, policy makers - have expressed concern on rising prices, yet little has been done to control the price increase. There is one word that describes the rising prices - price gouging. Change comes slow, but in this case change is coming at the expense of patient lives and their livelihood. We cannot be the greatest country on earth when we fail to protect our citizens and assure them access to life saving drugs.
