Paper Genocide of American Indians is the act of government officials oppressively reclassifying American Indians to the race categories of Black, Mulatto, or White to the detriment of American Indian heritage. This atrocity has been documented since the first Federal Census's and later thru vital records by the acts of Walter Plecker of Virginia Vital records. Both acts began a national trend of reclassifying American Indians to other race categories to suppress Indian heritage. This was more frequent on the eastern shores of the United States. Millions of full and mixed blood American Indians have lost rights due to these adverse actions. Since Indian slavery in the first 13 colonies American Indians people have lost a birth right, and all legal rights as American Indians in this land.
