To create a Special Education Review Board to review the method of record keeping in the Special Education Program.

Created by A.A. on December 05, 2012

Special Education Teachers are overwhelmed with paperwork. Calling to Invite Parents, Confirming Parental Attendance, Pre IEP Meeting Data Collection Work, Writing a Working IEP, Attending IEP meetings, Creating or Writing a final IEP and finally, Mailing the IEP home to parents. Apart from all these activities, the Special Education Teacher also have to, not only teach his special education students' classes but also do Co - Teaching duties. On the average, the Special Education Teacher spends more time doing paperwork than in the classroom. A lot of this paperwork cound be streamlined with technology and with more office personnel to do more of the paperwork. This will free special education teachers to really do the work they were trained to do, which is to spend more teach to teach.
