Development of renewable energy in the United States is hindered by the lack of a cohesive national policy offering stability to investors in renewable energy.
Creating a unified national policy requiring utilities to pay private parties for the power they produce at rates near or equal to the rates those utilities charge consumers the administration can encourage the development of renewable energy in the United States.
This would reduce our need to import fuel, create a more rugged national power grid, and help to protect human health and the environment from the harmful effect of current coal and oil power plants.
