Issue:
Disabled Veteran's living in one State and assigned to a VA Care Provider in another State cannot use VA Physicians to certify paperwork for Handicap Placards due to differences in State procedures.
This is an unnecessary burden on Disabled Veterans, seeing and paying for a doctor that is not in their VA Network. State Placards expire causing this process to be repeated.
Petition:
We the undersigned petition the Federal Government create a Nationally recognized Disabled Veteran's Handicap Window Placard that can be issued by the Veteran's Administration to Disabled Veteran's for use in secondary vehicles. This placard would identify the holder as a Disabled Veteran, and for those with permanent disabilities the placard would not expire.
