A petition to make a new State out of the Maryland Counties in Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore due to the lack of fair representation in Annapolis. The population density and voter strength in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Prince Georges County, Howard County and Anne Arundel County have led to years of one party control in the Maryland causing high taxes, mismanaged tax dollars and policies that unfairly tax Southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore such as VEIP and the Flush Tax. Creating this new State would give the people residing in these counties a means to govern themselves free of the policies and wasteful government spending in Annapolis.
