The Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the Wisconsin counties of Bayfield, Ashland, Iron, Vilas, Forest, Florence and Marinette should be separated from their respective states to form their own state to be styled "Superior." The new state would protect rural interests and free the people therein from the not-so-benign neglect of their respective down-state associates.
