Recently, the Office of Personnel Management released a press report admitting that thousands of Questionnaire for National Security Positions (SF-86) forms have been stolen by unspecified/unknown individuals. The information contained in this form is extreamly sensitive, including not only social security numbers but also all "Public Information" used to commonly verify identity in systems like Lexus Nexus.
We request that the government considers the seriousness of this breach by create a streamline process to issue new SSN, and optionally legal name (at individual request), for members of the Intelligence Community (IC). This process should be handled through local Security Officer for current members of the IC, or the local Social Security Office for former members.
