Create stricter regulations on mortgage lenders in this country who take advantage of borrows with high interest rates

Created by D.C. on December 21, 2011

After the crash of the housing market due to preditory lending; the government should easily step in and create newer and stricter laws and fines for any type of lender who charges above the market rates for housing, auto loans, etc. Bailing out the banks that back these lenders is and was a ridiculous move while the economy continues to tank because of the housing market free fall. These corporations used their lawyers to find ways to take advantage of families who are now in danger of foreclosure and homelessness which will further hurt the economy. The Commissioner of Banks for each state should be allowed to investigate, prosecute and fine these homewreckers to the fulliest and create a program that will 100% help the american people maintain their property and homes.
