For far too long, our laws have increasingly favored profits over freedom. Corporations over citizens. When the Internet has the power to overthrow regimes without war, democratize information without prejudice, and connect people around the planet, it is far too important to our society.
The onslaught of ever more draconian IP legislation with SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, are predicated on presumed losses of piracy. Assumed losses that illogically equate a download as a lost sale.
