We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Create stronger protection laws for LGBTQ individuals.

Created by E.K. on July 06, 2016

Some states have anti-discrimination laws protecting LGBTQ individuals, while many others do not. Since the legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015, same-sex couples & LGBTQ individuals have continued to feel a lack of protection and security. In Michigan alone, there are only a select few cities/counties that provide protection to LGBTQ individuals regarding their employment, housing accommodation, etc. As Unites States citizens, we are ALL entitled to the same protections and rights, whether we are heterosexual or categorize as LGBTQ. Nobody shouldn't feel safe based on their sexual orientation or identity. Provide the same laws to LGBTQ individuals. Let them purchase homes no matter where they live. Let them adopt children who are desperate for a home. Protect their jobs. EQUALITY!
