Currently student loan forgiveness programs are restricted to citizens with public service sector jobs. This program should be expanded to all holders of federal student loans.
It is not feasible for all student loan holders to get public service positions, and there should be programs in place for everyone else to take advantage of the forgiveness program.
With the help of the Obama administration a bargain should be created with public school loan companies to forgive the loans after a certain period of time. It is time for Americans to stop being held economically hostage by large amounts of school loan debt.
