I am petitioning the Obama administration to allow citizens to help digitize Veteran claim forms, allowing injured veterans to receive benefits more quickly. This effort would be similar to the one made by the Obama administration to help gather data about the 2012 election.
The process should be simple and straightforward. Volunteer comes in, signs necessary nondisclosure documents, and begins typing in, verbatim, everything on a VA claim form into a digitized version of said claim form. Easy.
The job won't get done overnight, but at least it can start making some headway. For those who sacrificed life and limb for our safety, the least we can do is sacrifice some time out of our day to help them, allowing us to go beyond just saying "thank you" every now and again.
