Create a system of mental health services & resources for the forgotten - the mentally ill and their families affected

Every recent episode of gun violence that resulted in a mass killing of innocent people has been committed by a person who suffered from some degree of mental illness. Video games, T.V., movies & even guns don't cause mass murder. Mass murder is usually committed by a mentally ill person who is most likely suffering from severe delusions. In perspective, most mentally ill people do not commit mass murder but most are unable to live normal productive lives & their families are in a constant state of disarray & fear. There are very few resources available to those who suffer from mental illness & even fewer to those without insurance. The resources available are extremely poor quality. Our government needs to provide a system of meaningful & competent services for this forgotten population.
