The goal of this petition is to provide public school administrators information on the firearm purchasing habits of staff, students and the immediate family of students under the administrator's supervision.
Most gun crimes committed against children in schools are done so by persons with weapons legally obtained either by themselves or by family members.
Information promotes safety and would encourage preventative measures. Principals and other administrators should be given information concerning who under their care and on their staff have immediate access to stockpiles of weapons capable of inflicting crimes against students and faculty.
By identifying possible threats, administrators can more closely monitor staff and students logistically capable of committing such crimes.
