Instead of creating an unconstitutional law which restricts citizens from purchasing any type of firearms. The administration should create a logical system in which a citizen must provide their Government issued ID when purchasing any type of ammunition from any type of retailer including internet stores. Providing an ID would register your purchases in a nationwide database, this would allow limits to be put on how much ammunition one person can buy in a given time period and also allow authorities to be alerted when someone purchase an unusual amount of ammunition. This would be a valid solution because a rifle or gun is only deadly if it has ammunition and we can often find in these tragedies with shooting that the individual purchased large amount of ammunition.
