My petition is for US taxpayers to have more of a voice in how their tax dollars are spent. For example, each year tax payers have the option to split up their taxes and award them to a cause or department of their choosing. If you are a proponent of green energy you can award all of your taxes to those departments or projects such as the EPA or a light rail system. If you feel that we need more defense spending you can choose to award a percentage or all of your taxes to the proper department. In cases of tax payers not awarding their tax dollars, that money is free to the gov't to use as a "flex" account and use that money towards any budget or project it chooses. This will allow the American people to fund projects they want and help reduce wasteful spending.
